Hello, I'm Micaela.

Welcome to my portfolio

I am a fresh graduate of Southeast Community College with an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design. I was born and raised in Nebraska (Go Huskers!) and I am currently working here as a freelance designer and at the same time continuing to work on my own personal projects.

Since I was very little, I have always had an interest in arts, crafts and creating. I made my own clothes and purses, started an online zine, wrote stories and taught myself HTML when I was twelve to make my first website. Today, I still have a passion for handmade/D.I.Y., drawing, writing, sewing, making jewelry & altered books, and my interests in web and design have continued to grow.

I discovered the wonderful world of graphic design as a senior in high school when I was searching for careers I could go into that would allow me to put my creative skills to use, and I'm glad that this is what I chose to do! One of my favorite aspects of design is that I can combine many of the things I enjoy—writing, drawing, art—and make my own designs from those things. I like making order out of chaos and finding creative solutions.
